This week we really want to give you the complete lowdown on diamond core drilling – we’ll do this through a series of daily blogs.
Today we’ll talk about the different segment types:-
The Segment
Variations include the CCU850X combi, DCU750X and
Turbolite. Wet cores use the WCU850X segment but can also be used for Flint
(extremely hard) or Asphalt (extremely soft). Crown use a continuous segment
for fast drilling.
CCU850x
The CCU850x has a Combi Segment which allows it to
drill most common materials
WCU850x - Wet Cores
Wet cores can be specified with Soft or Harder
segment bonds to allow for variations when drilling different types of
concrete.
